Injustice is more of a suggestion than a rule.
I was forced to run track in high school. I remember how much I sucked at it and how sad it made me to lose race after race, unable to quit.
I’m the savior sad of some forgotten place,
Baby Jesus relegated to an empty space,
Never stalked by kings and stars to mangers bare,
My religious vision is an empty stare.
The selfishness of others demands your silence. The urgency of truth demands you speak. Which audience will you perform to?
Let me fall from a high tree,
Maybe blood can say I must be,
Gravity will force my tongue to finally cry out
And my injuries will bend me
Beyond my doubt.
The one thing that I love
Is the mirror of my hate,
My attachment is the monster
Who will kill me using fate.
Folly squared
Is folly too,
The sickness woven
Into point of view.
We are where we are politically as a result of decades of worshiping greed as a god. Only by seeing that god made flesh could we come to see the error of our ways.
Explosions tell us what to feel,
We graze of fields of stainless steel
And weapons jut from ragged teeth,
We’re cultists of our disbelief.
Demon’s don’t seduce, they philosophically reproduce.
